Link: Ice Cream Sundae finished!
Hi everyone, I hope you are all well and doing lots of stitching! Here is my completed Country Cottage Needlework - Ice Cream Sundae finish, it was such an easy stitch, I think I am going to be doing quite a few of these designs as I really enjoyed stitching this. Don't you think the colours are just yummy?
I have posted quite a few pictures for you to get a good close up view and get a real feel for the design.
Gosh, I could just eat some Ice Cream! Mmmmmm!
You can buy the pattern from Sew and So in England hereand here in America, just scroll down the pages and you will find the pattern.
Stitching news It looks like my exchange to Yana has got lost in the post, I am sooooo disappointed. I am going to wait a couple more weeks to see if it finally arrives, if not I shall have to make another one, which is so annoying!
I have started another exchange, but this one is for a lady in England, I do not think I will be as worried when I send that, but I will be using recorded delivery!
Welcome to all of my new followers this week, I hope you enjoy your visits as much as I enjoy posting the photographs of my cross stitching.
Have a happy stitchy week, thankyou for your visit!

Link: Thanks for your emails.... It's easier for me to reply here...I have had a Fibro flare-the worst one I have had in quite some time for the past week and just have been in too much pain to sit at the computer or much of anything. I am stitching a gift that I need to get finished-I have been stitching on it over a week now when it should have only taken a few days. I am used to mild/moderate pain from the fibro but this time around it's really quite bad. Thank you for the comments and emails regarding if I am ok. I appreciate them and will return to regularly scheduled programming as soon as I can.

Link: It's raining cats and dogs Hi Stitchers! I wanted to show my babies, it's been quite some time since this pic was taken. It illustrates the sisters' love perfectly. They spend almost all their time together. Pudding, on the left, is now as tall and fit as her sister, Crumble, you could never tell she was the underfed, shy one. Well, except with strangers, that is... We keep them indoors, only Luna is an outside cat, as she was used to it before we had her. I only feel good when the three are home. Fortunately, Luna is the stay-at-home kind, except when the weather is really warm and then she loves lying in the sun in the front garden. The tricky part is that she loves to walk the dog out with us, but will choose to walk on the street when she's as gray as the asphalt...
These three lady cats rule the house, and drive our Lord Euston mad. Here is proud Euston after a walk/crazy run. Here's frustrated Euston after the infamous kitties have finished with him. He needs to squat his dad's lap then... Oh and I also have this great pic of Euston playing hide and seek in the snowed in garden- and also munching some iced droppings of his, I think. His favourite winter game: find his droppings, launch them as high as possible, kick them, catch them, and finally eat them. Bon appetit...
By the way, this is still a stitching blog... I have stitched for winter lately:
Homespun Elegance, Snow Much Joy on 32 count Zweigart vintage, my choice of colours. Star charms are missing. The Sampler Girl's freebie "my true love gave to me" with a few changes: a border added and little charm buttons too. 32 count Zweigart fein floba. The text is stitched with luscious silk I received for my birthday (can't remember the name, but thank you Sabine, I just love it), the rest is plain DMC.
Oh, and here's my contribution to the May Hallosal. 40 count coffee dyed linen, DMC 844, and a freebie by Primitive Betty. I left the date off.
Thank you for the kind messages you have left for my son. Many of you have advised a counselor, and I have tried the best I could to convince him, even with the help of our family physician. But he won't see one, doesn't want to.Doesn't want to try yoga to help him relax either. I have had him take some magnesium treatment, and that seems to help improve his mood. And I am super aware... It may come as a surprise to you, my American and Australien friends, but around here in France, people who have a counselor are immediately considered as mentally ill and shown with disrespect. He is a victim of this prejudice. I do have a counselor to try and find a way to cure my social phobia, but I never say "I have an appointement with my counselor". It would be a shame to admit my failures. So I say "I'm seeing my bald dwarf this afternoon". Quite an accurate description: he is very very small (less than five feet tall) and he is bald. I don't fear any transfer phenomenon with him, even as a father. Lol!
Time to sign off and prepare dinner here. I'll be back soon with more pics and stitching to share.
Hugs to you all, Stitchers!

Hi everyone, I hope you are having a lovely stitchy week. A few months ago I decided to treat myself to a stash of gorgeous fabric from Shabby Fabrics, if you have never seen their website go check it out here. They supply over the internet from America, they arrived only about 10 days later in England and they were worth waiting for, they are absolutely gorgeous, all of the colours blend together beautifully and every single one of the designs are really pretty. I have bought some other colours but I will save them for another time. Next up is the beautiful gift that I receved for my birthday from Angela, the gorgeous ribbons, a lovely Cypress bread roll and a notepad from the Victoria and Albert Museum, Angela knows I am into the Victorian era so this was perfect. I love taking tea in the garden so it will be lovely to wrap up some warm bread and eat it in the sunshine alongside a nice cup of english tea! Thankyou Angela for the lovely gift, I love it all.
I have also been stitching a cross stitch that I started last year, it is a free pattern from the internet, stitched 1 over 1 in red satin DMC thread.
I love the flowers and the butterflies on this. Welcome to all of my new followers, I am nearly at 500, wow I am amazed! Thankyou to everyone who follows my blog, I really appreciate the fact that you like what I stitch, I never thought I would ever get so many followers when I started blogging. I hope I can keep stitching things that are of interest to you all, thanks for your visit, until next time...... Happy Stitching!

Stitching Room Part 3 :) (almost there) |

Becky Bee's Stitching Hive 2010-05-04:
Link: Stitching Room Part 3 :) (almost there) Some things are just worth the effort...this is one of those things!!!! Here is what we came up with for my Gast, WDW and CC threads. I must admit that I did not stitch with these as much as I would have liked to because they were a "chore" to go through and pull the needed fibers. If you will remember all my GAST, WDW and CC's were in baggies and on rings and stored in these 2 drawers...

I can now say I will HAPPILY stitch with them :) We purchased these simple inexpensive Tie/Belt Racks-they are wonderful-the pegs are offset so they don't hang right on top of each other and each rack will hold 27 different colors. Some colors I have 5-6 skeins of and that's no issues as the pegs are long enough to hold them. I did have to trim down the tags on the top rows of each rack-but the bottom rows will hold the tags without trimming.
I have my GAST and WDW on this wall... It took 6 racks to hold my GAST and 8 for my WDW-I have a extra spaces that I can add new colors if needed. They are all alphabetized-If I bring in new colors-they will go to the "extras rack-as I will not "redo the alphabetizing" each time I get a new color.
And this wall holds my CC's. 4 racks of those. (I still need to purchase one more rack as I have 24 more different colors of CC's. I have them ready to hang-just need to get the rack (when we started out-hubby asked me how many racks I needed and I said oh about 10...LOL! I guess I underestimated my fibers :) )
I am so thrilled and it was so worth the 3 LONG days it took organizing these fibers :) That's pratically all I did for 3 days BUT it will be so nice to pull fibers now for a project and always know what I have on hand at a glance :)
Thank you for your interest in my blog :)For always allowing and encouraging me to share :) That means a lot to me :) I appreciate your time/visits so very much :) Please do come again :) hugs and love from SC, BeckySC |
