Link: Little Birdies :) This morning before it got too warm out, I took my stitching outside so I could enjoy watching the birds feeding from our feeding stations-all the fledglings are out and about and it's so fun to watch them being fed and learning how to do things. Keeping with the theme of the morning I stitched up this adorable pin pillow. I took one of the birdies from the ABC a la Ferme designs by L R de rien and stitched him 3 times in 3 different colors for this ADORABLE pillow :) And I used some of that CUTE fabric I found during the Shop Hop my mom and I went to 2 years ago. TOO cute :)

Thank you all for stopping by and your sweet comments and personal email :) I appreciate it much more than you know :) Please do come again :) Have a GREAT weekend!! hugs and love from SC, BeckySC |

Happiness is cross stitching 2010-06-03:
Link: My exchange has arrived in Russia at last!
Hi everyone, I am thrilled to say that the exchange I sent to Yana in Russia on the 29 March has finally arrived, I had actually lost all hope of it ever getting there, in fact, I had made another one and was ready to post it next week! I made the toblerone using this tutorial here ,although it is in French the pictures are quite easy to follow, I also used some of the fabrics I bought from Shabby Fabrics in America. The cherub pattern was a free pattern from Arianne Pierre, I could not find the link to it, however a nice blogging friend sent me the pattern. For the rose detail on the toblerone I used part of a pattern from the Gazette 94 blog here, just scroll down and you will see the roses as part of this large sampler. The polymer clay rose pins, buttons and thread holder were handmade from Fimo clay and glazed with varnish to give a shiny finish. If you wish to know how to make the roses just type in polymer clay roses on You Tube and you will see a video showing how to make them. I used DMC floss for the cross stitch.
More pictures below.
I have just sent another exchnage to Hazel from Quietly Stitching blog here , I will show pictures in my next post.
Happy stitching everyone and thankyou for your visit.

Sewing/stitching Accessories Giveaway |

Becky Bee's Stitching Hive 2010-06-03:
Link: Sewing/stitching Accessories Giveaway My next giveaway is for these CUTE bee sewing accessories :) I was working on this last night when we lost power for 5 hours due to severe weather. I was having the most fun putting all this together but had to stop due to TOTAL darkness...I was down in my stitching room and had to wait on hubby to come rescue me as I could not see a thing ...he came to my rescue with one of our battery operated Coleman lanterns. It looked like a train coming towards me with the bright light the lantern was putting out!! Those work SO well and put off no fumes or heat and the batteries last for 7 hours on high. Hubby was able to continue reading his book for the 5 hours the power was out-but due to the power not coming back on until 2am I had to wait until morning to finish making these accessories. :) WE are due for more bad weather today :( I hope we do not lose power again. There is a cupcake pincushion, a pin pillow type pincushion, a tin with magnetic needle holder and a scissors pocket :) The pin pillow is stuffed with crushed walnut shells :) I will be giving this set away to one of my readers. You do not need to do anything to have your name added (UNLESS you are a new reader-you can email me and I will add your name to the bowl of names)-if you visit my blog your name is already in the bowl :) You are MORE than welcome to leave a comment if you want to-but comments are not required to be entered into the draw :) As you know by now I am doing monthly giveaways-This will be my July Giveaway :) I will draw a name at the end of this month :) I will post the winner to my blog and ask for your mailing information. If you are not interested in this giveaway, your name will be put back into the bowl and I will draw a new name. I have had 3 giveaways where the people that won never claimed their prizes....if you do not email me within a week, I will draw a new name :)

Thank you so VERY much for your sweet visits and your LOVELY email :) I honestly can't thank you enough :) Please do come again :) hugs and love from SC, BeckySC |

Link: MOST special mail day... WOW, I am so speechless from the BEEutiful gift I received in today's mail from sweet Berit :) I sent her some DMC 115 and just look at this gorgeous pin pillow she stitched me with some of the 115. I honestly cried when I opened the package as her generosity means more to me than she will ever know-good friends are the BEST and can touch your heart when least expected. I have only known her a short time, but I consider her to be a DEAR friend, and just think the world of her-I hope you know that, Berit. You are VERY special to me :) Thank you so very much for this beauty and please know it will be cherished ALWAYS!! It is so perfectly stitched and finished :) BEEutiful work, Berit! Email coming your way my friend :)

I am working on the finish on the PS Fairie (but hubby called me to help vacuume the pool, so I had to stop for awhile-boy is it HOT and steamy here today after an all day rain yesterday!!) and will share it a bit later today :)

Link: 1997 PS Fairie Hello friends :) I decided on a memo board finish for this adorable Fairie :) She will be going to live with Ellen S as her continued gifts from being adopted by me earlier this year. I do so hope you like her, Ellen :) The Fairie is finished as a pocket on the memo board. I added some red gingham ribbon as a trim as well as a red button. I just love the way she turned out.

Thank you friends and readers for stopping by. I appreciate YOU much more than words can tell you :) You are all just so sweet and make it such a joy to share my stitching with you-I must admit that due to some OVERLY jealous people (which I never will understand??? How can you be jealous of a cross stitch blog or a person sharing their love of such a beautiful art and hobby??? I just don't get that as I LOVE seeing what my friends create with their needles and thread and DO NOT FIND IT A CONTEST among stitching bloggers of who can post what or how many finishes they have-that's just plain old silly/childish!!!! And how anyone could be critical of how much another person stitches, stash they obtain or what gifts they send/receive is beyond my understanding!! and I must say that your jealousy keeps you from having what I have-the BESTEST online stitching buddies you can find anywhere and the pure joy of sharing our stitching passions!!!) I was going to stop blogging...but those of you that have emailed me and chatted with me have convinced me to keep going-THANK YOU for that as I know I would miss you all terribly. Please do come again! hugs and love from SC, BeckySC |

Link: Winners of Giveaways and 1997 PS Fairie :) Hello friends...I hope you all have had a lovely weekend and those in the US have had a lovely long weekend and Memorial Day. We stayed quite busy with Memorial Day activities...today though plans with friends were cancelled due to our flooding rains. With hubby and my BIL and SIL all military or former military today is special and is observed in our family. Please take a minute to remember all those that have given their lives for our freedom as well as those that continue to serve so we may have that freedom.
I stitched the 1997 PS Fairie over the long weekend. Still deciding on a finish for her :)

Winner of the Giveaways are... For the Stash giveaway the winner is: Lisa P said... Wow, Becky, what a great giveaway! Right now I have three WIPs: The Nancy Cartmel 1810 sampler bag I started on January 1st. I'm struggling with it because I really want to move on to some other things that are calling my name but I really want to see it finished too! A box top from a Jeannette Douglas/Pam Reed class our guild hosted. Last but certainly not least is the scissors holder I'm doing for the exchange you are hosting. I can't tell you what it is because my partner might be reading. ;o) I'll keep my fingers crossed! Hugs, Lisa P 11:52 AM
And for the Spring Fling Tin the winner is: Sherry said... You were missed! I did not email you because I knew you had a good reason for taking a blogging break. You are in my thoughts. Yes, please enter me in the drawing! Anything made by you is a treasure! 8:57 AM
Please send me your mailing information ladies :) Also, please be advised that I only go to the PO twice a month. It may be 2 weeks before I am able to mail out your winnings-but you WILL receive them. Thanks to all that entered-I always wish I could give everyone something. I am making a change to the way I do giveaways-You will not need to do anything to be included in any giveaway I have on my blog-I have wrote down and cut up the list of names that visit my blog and they will all remain in the bowl that I can draw from each time so that I will not have to cut up and print out names each time :) If you are new to my blog and want to be included in a giveaway when I post one-all you need to do is email me and I will add your name to the bowl. When I draw a name I will ask you to contact me to see if you wish to collect the giveaway I am offering-if not, I will draw another name-but your name will always remain in the bowl for any future giveaways and you do not have to do anything to be included.
Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit. I just have not been spending any time online. I have been stitching when I can and doing other activities that do not involve online time. I MISS you all a great deal and I do hope I can find the desire to get back into a regular blog visiting routine-My unread feeds in google reader are MANY!!!!-I took the time today to delete all the blogs that are never updated or that I never read anymore for whatever reasons from my google reader...maybe this will help me to not feel so overwhelmed and behind. I feel badly that I haven't visited your blogs and you continue to visit mine. I can't thank you enough for that though and I DO SO appreciate it. Thanks to those that have emailed me-I SO enjoy hearing from you all...though lately I have been very slow to respond to emails due to circumstances in our family and limited online time-please know I TRULY do enjoy receiving your personal email. I seem to be having some email issues though and I am not sure if some of my replies have gotten through. I know that Amy and I are having a terrible time communicating VIA email. If you have emailed with anything that requires a reply and I have not responded, chances are I am not receiving-or my replies are not going through to you-please try again :)
Have a great week! hugs and love from SC, BeckySC |

Link: Bunny Button Sampler and an exchange received This was such a joy to stitch. I just love the way it turned out and the colors are just awesome and of course the design is adorable! I substituted wooden buttons in the corners. It called for the brass bunnies, but I really didn't want to use them.
